
LEIGH PEGUES
Board Member
Leigh Pegues joined the Board of Directors in November 2019 after a distinguished commercial banking career spanning more than four decades with regional banks. Throughout his career, he specialized in commercial banking and real estate services across various industries, excelling in relationship management and client service.
In addition to his banking career, Pegues served 12 years in the U.S. Army Reserve, achieving the rank of Captain. He is a past president of the Alabama Young Bankers and the American Institute of Banking in Birmingham, Alabama. He has also contributed his leadership to several nonprofit boards, including the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, Girls Inc. of Birmingham, and Cove United Methodist Church. Currently, he serves on the board of a local plastics company.
Pegues holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Banking & Finance) from The University of Alabama and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Samford University.
